Peach Bottom Township Recreation Center
In 2002, Peach Bottom Township completed the addition to the existing community hall creating Peach Bottom Township Recreation Center. The purpose of the Peach Bottom Recreation Building is to provide a safe place for residents of Peach Bottom Township and Delta Borough to hold recreational activities.
The person(s) contracting use of the Recreation Center must be a resident of Peach Bottom Township or Delta Borough or the proposed recreational activity must benefit the Township & Borough residents. All person(s) contracting for the use of the Peach Bottom Township Recreation Center must sign a contract with the Township. This contract will state the days and times that the specified user(s) will have access to the building, the condition in which the building must be kept, any costs and/or deposits and how the key will be transferred and returned. It is the responsibility of the Tennant to make sure all participants follow the rules and leave the building in the same condition as when it was entered.
The following Organizations may use the center at no cost: Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, South Eastern Caring Communities – Communities that Care, Recreation Council Sponsors Activities, YMCA, Delta Senior Center, Mason Dixon Community Services, Delta Borough and Peach Bottom Township Community Festivals and similar organizations at the approval of the Township Supervisors at their regularly scheduled meeting. Adult, non-profit, recreational groups such as Basketball & Volleyball will pay $5 per hour for use of the building. The Township has the right to change this fee when maintenance costs warrant. Anyone wishing to conduct a class such as aerobics, dance, wrestling, ect. that charges a fee per participant must be a Peach Bottom Township Recreation Council sponsored activity.
This building is intended for recreational use. Private celebrations and non-athletic meetings are excluded from using the building. It is not our intention to make use of the building extremely restrictive, but to preserve the building for recreational activities. Peach Bottom Township reserves the right to use the Recreation Center for Township Meetings when a large turnout is expected and there may be inadequate space for all attendees at the regular meeting place.
